I grew up on the East Coast! I lived in Jones County until I turned 9 yrs. and I grew up in Rocky Mount, NC. I graduated from RMSH, and a WSSU Alumni.  I've always known I wanted to be a teacher-there was never any question or thought about doing anything else.  I spent many years dreaming of being a teacher when I was growing up and the education field is a big part of my family.  I have wonderful parents and two younger sisters who attend UNCG. I've been teaching since 2010 and within this time I've taught 1st grade and 3rd grade in Edgecombe and Wake County.
     During my personal time I enjoy spending time with my family-my children (Sienna-13, Savion-10, and Spencer-7).  We are now a Mime, baseball, softball, and Girl Scout family!  I also love to do DIY crafts, cooking, Pinterest Pinning and traveling.
      I know this will be a great year!  Go Eagles!
